Crito: Plato's Apology and Crito, with notes / (New York London : D.Awoken by Crito in his cell, Socrates put forth a defence for why it is just for him to remain in Athens and be punished for a crime despite being innocent. The Crito is another of Plato’s earlier, shorter dialogues set shortly after Socrates’ conviction for impiety.
